Michael Bay may direct DC's "Lobo"

The Wrap reports Warner Bros. has approached Michael Bay to direct the “Lobo” film. Warner Bros. wants “Lobo” to be their answer to Fox’s “Deadpool”. WB has already shown Bay the script and he gave notes that “Wonder Woman” writer Jason Fuchs will have to add into his rewrite. If Bay likes the changes to the script, Warner Bros. will try to make a deal with him.
Lobo has been in development at WB since 2009 and originally had Guy Ritchie set to direct but since then, the project has been delayed due to several changes in directors, writers, and the overall vision for the DC Movie Universe over the years.
From a business stand point I can understand why WB would want to hire him, Michael Bay is a veteran when it comes to directing and producing big budget blockbusters.
Bay brought the Transformers to life and directed all 5 films in the franchise. The Transformers series has grossed billions of dollars for Paramount and I think WB wants to use that Michael Bay magic in hopes to bring a spark, and some explosions to the DC Movie Universe.
