Tessa Thompson In Talks To Join Disney's Live-Action 'Lady and the Tramp'

Collider reports that Tessa Thompson is in talks to voice Lady in Disney's Live-Action "Lady and the Tramp" film, Justin Theroux has also joined the film as the voice of the Tramp.
“Lady and the Tramp” tells the story of an American Cocker Spaniel named Lady who lives with a upper-middle-class family, but is set astray when the family has a baby. Lady ends up meeting a mongrel known as the Tramp on the streets. They embark on a romantic journey and eventually fall in love.
Charlie Bean (The Lego Ninjago Movie) has been tapped to direct the project from the script written by Andrew Bujalski. "Lady and the Tramp" is expected to debut on Disney’s upcoming digital streaming service, which launches in 2019.
The film will be similar to Disney's other live-action adaptations such as "Jungle Book" and "Beauty and the Beast" which blended CGI characters and live actors.
Thompson is currently filming the upcoming "Men in Black" spin-off, re-teaming with her "Thor: Ragnarok" co-star Chris Hemsworth. She is repped by Greene & Associates Talent Agency, Mosaic and attorney Jeff Bernstein.
