Superman Prequel TV Series 'Metropolis' Announced

DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television announced on Tuesday that they are working on a Superman prequel Tv series called 'Metropolis' This is the 2nd Superman prequel series that has been announced.

The series is set to follow the life of Lois Lane and Lex Luthor. The show will explore life in Metropolis without the iconic superhero watching over the city, The produces of Gotham will also be working on the new Metropolis series. 

Executive Producers John Stephens and Danny Cannon of Gotham have teamed up to write the story and produce the series, The show has been given a 13-episode order set to debut on DC's streaming service. John Stephens is set to write the screenplay for the pilot and Danny Canon will direct the episode.

Production for Metropolis is set to begin later this year and is set to debut in 2019.
