Sony Is Developing A Stand Alone 'Kraven The Hunter' Movie
by: James A. Barnes
"The Equalizer 2" screenwriter Richard Wenk has been tapped to write a script for a "Kraven The Hunter" Stand Alone film for Sony Pictures.
Sony recently announced that they were working on a "Silver & Black" movie and "Kraven The Hunter" will be another character from the Spidey-Verse to get their own film.
In the comics, Sergei Kravinoff/Kraven has been one of Spider-Man's greatest adversaries and prides himself on being the greatest hunter that goes after the biggest game. Kraven made his first appearance in August 1964 in "The Amazing Spider-Man" #15.
Since Spider-Man isn't going to be in the same universe as "Venom", "Silver & Black", or the "Kraven" film, who will he be hunting in his stand alone movie? I think this would be a great opportunity to have Kraven face off against Venom who is just as powerful as Spider-Man.
Who knows what direction Wenk will take in his script but I for one am very excited to see this incredible Spider-Man villain on the big screen.
