Pokemon for the Switch Leaks Flood the Internet
by: Bryce L. Jackson
Leaks came in heavy over the last few days about a potential mainline Pokemon game made by GAMEFREAK for the Nintendo Switch. A Japanese logo has circulated has circulated in recent days and the timing right around E3 has Pokemon fans buzzing like Beedrill.
Multiple sources are reporting that the potential Pokemon game set in the Kanto Region could be a reimagining of the iconic Pokemon Yellow for Game Boy Color. There will be two versions according to the leaks called "Pokemon: Lets Go! Pikachu" and Pokemon: Let's Go! Eevee. Leakers have found that a company called CSC Corporate Domains, Inc. has registered the websites "pokemonletsgopikachu.com" and "pokemonletsgoeevee.com" recently. This company in the past has registered pokemon-sunmoon.com for the corresponding titles for the 3DS games. The leaks are also making hints that the Nintendo Switch game could also have Pokemon Go integration and may have the mobile game's style of catching Pokemon. Even more visual hints have popped up on the GAMEFREAK twitter and on the Nintendo website with Pikachu and Eevee showing up in picture either together or by themselves.
Personally, it these rumors turn out to be true, I will lose my mind. I've held off on getting a Switch but this will be a system seller for fans like me that may have jumped off the Pokemon train after Gold/Silver got back on after Pokemon Go.
