Plans for a Spyro The Dragon Remaster Leaked

Sources have told Kotaku that there are plans to release a remastered version of the beloved PS1 Classic “Spyro The Dragon”. The release will include all three entries of the Spyro series (Spyro the Dragon, Ripto’s Rage! and Year of the Dragon) and will be released like the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy in 2017. The Spyro Remaster is being developed by the same company that did the Crash remasters and are hinting at possibly releasing in late 2018 as part of a 20th anniversary celebration. The remastered Spyro may include content from the original release and an temporary exclusivity deal with Sony possibly for one year before being ported in 2019 to other systems.
