My Hero Academia (BNHA) Season 3 HYPE!!!!!
Written by: Ludence A. Romney Jr. (OneReality)
If you don’t know by now, I am a HUGE BNHA fan. So yes this is mostly biased with some objectivity because I will be talking about THE GREATEST SHOUNEN SHOW OUT RIGHT NOW……for the new school at least (Damn you One Piece!).
It would be a shame if you are reading this and you haven’t watched the show yet because I will have some spoilers. I will be talking about events that have happened in past seasons and also events to look forward to in Season 3 based off of what I can estimate they will adapt from the manga. This was my spoiler warning; I hope you took it seriously and do not continue reading unless you could care less.
For me, character development in a show is everything. I love to feel like I am watching a character grow up. In my opinion, that’s what makes BNHA so enjoyable. We start off with Deku, a timid and earnest MC, who always wanted to be a hero, but never had the aptitude for it. We saw him start out from the bottom, no powers but he had the heart of a hero. Currently, he now has the ability to use 5% of his power distributed evenly, called Full Cowl.
It doesn’t only focus on Deku’s growth either. We saw Todoroki slowly accept his past with his father, Endeavor, finally using the fire side of his powers. We saw Uraraka gain her own sense of resolve in her fight against Bakugo. We saw Tenya, the most level-headed character in the show; lose his cool when his brother got injured by the villain Stain.
The only person we have yet to see personal growth from is Bakugo…..and that’s what makes this season exciting because we are about to see something big that involves that very character. Bakugo may be an enigma to some. I think people read into him a bit too much because he is simpler than you would expect. He wants to be the number one hero and feels strongly that he eventually will. He always felt number one as a kid because of his quirk and as far as he knew Deku was beneath him. However, all of a sudden, Deku has a quirk and begins to attend the prestigious UA Hero Academy, where he was supposed to be the only one from his middle school to be able to attend. Now he is stuck thinking that Deku was undermining him all those years just to save face.
In this upcoming season, we will see Bakugo be more of the main focus in the plot. Will he really continue to be a hero with the choices that will be presented in front of him or will he become a villain? He definitely has the temperament for a villain. It will be exciting to see the choice he makes and the ramifications for it.
In closing…….THE ANIMATION OF DEKU GOING 100% FULL COWL IS GOING TO BE NUTS!!!!!!!
