Michael B. Jordan Set To Star In Hitman Drama 'The Silver Bear'

Variety reports that Michael B. Jordan is set to star in the upcoming film, “The Silver Bear”.
“The Silver Bear” is based on the book series by Derek Haas who also wrote the screenplay for “Wanted” and “3:10 to Yuma”. The novel centers around an assassin known as the Silver Bear who tracks down a powerful politician with the presidential aspirations.
Frank Baldwin wrote the script and no director has been attached as yet. Nickel City acquired the rights to the book franchise last year and the film is going to be produced by Vishal Rungta, Mark Fasano, and Ankur Rungta of Nickel City Pictures and Jordan Outlier. Haas, Tobias Weymar, and Michael Garnett will serve as the films executive producers.
When asked about the project Rungta had this to say:
““We could not be more excited to work with Michael and Lionsgate,” “We have been huge fans of Michael all the way back to his days in ‘The Wire,’ and from our first meeting we knew that he was the perfect fit for the role of Columbus”.”
