Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Heading For Huge $140M Debut!

Early tracking indicates "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" is heading for a huge opening weekend. The film is on track to score between $140M-$150M for its debut in North America.
"Jurassic World" debuted with the fourth largest opening weekend of all-time making $208.8M domestically, the film went on to become the fourth most profitable film of all-time bringing in $1.6B worldwide. "Avengers: Infinity War" has since dethroned "Jurassic World" making it the fifth highest grossing film of all-time.
The film with see the return of Chris Pratt (Owen Grady) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing) as they try to save the dinosaurs from a volcano that's about to erupt. They also encounter new terrifying breeds of dinosaurs, and uncover something that could threaten the entire planet.
Fallen Kingdom is being directed by J.A. Bayona and was written by "Jurassic World" director Colin Tevorrow and Derek Connolly. Steven Spielberg and Trevorrow will executive produce the film, and Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley will produce.
"Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" will open in the U.K. on June 8th, China on June 15th, and the U.S. on June 22th.
