Henry Cavill Out As Superman Due To The Latest Shake-Up In The DC Universe.
by: James A. Barnes
THR reports that Henry Cavill will no longer dawn the red cape as Warner Bros. has shifted their focus to a “Supergirl” movie. The film will serve as an origin story featuring a teen Kara Zor-El. Superman would be an infant during this time so this effectively ages Cavill out as Superman. Warner Bros. is also focusing on their “Birds of Prey” film, “Wonder Woman 1984,” and Todd Phillip’s standalone “Joker” movie.
Cavill has portrayed the man of steel three times, first in 2013’s “Man of Steel” 2016’s Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and 2017’s “Justice League.” Cavill was also set to make a cameo in the upcoming “Shazam!” film but won’t due to scheduling conflicts. Cavill recently appeared in “Mission Impossible: Fallout” and has been cast as Geralt In Netflix's “The Witcher” Series. Although I hate to see Cavill leave as Superman, I think he’s a very talented actor and I can’t wait to see what he’s going to do in the future.
This is a developing story, so stay tuned to Careful 4 Spoilers for more updates!
