Marvel’s Eternals Movie Review
Eternals has a lot going for it. It has a great cast, stunning visuals, so much heart, and it expanded the MCU’s history in a lot of different ways that will make nerds like me very happy.
Chloe Zhao does an incredible job of humanizing these cosmic beings. They have so much depth to them and it’s easy to align with their choice to break their vow and intervene to save the earth.
Makkari, Gilgamesh, and Druig were the biggest standouts for me and learning about the Celestials’ role in the universe was really cool.
With that said, the film felt a little flat, I never really felt the stakes, and the deviants are just generic fodder for the Eternals to defeat and show off their abilities.
