‘Fast & Furious’ Spinoff With Dwayne Johnson & Jason Statham Gets New Release Date

Universal has changed the release date of the 'Fast & Furious' spinoff 'Hobbs & Shaw.' The film will team Johnson's Luke Hobbs up with Statham's Deckard Shaw. The film was originally slated for July 26, 2019 but will now hit theaters on August 2, 2019. 'Hobbs and Shaw' will share its new release date with Paramount's 'Dora The Explorer' an untitled Warner Bros. film, and Fox's 'New Mutants.'

Johnson's Hobbs made an entrance in a big way in 2011's Fast Five, and Statham's Shaw made his first appearance in Fast & Furious 6. The two actors gave the series new legs and the entire franchise has grossed $5.14B Worldwide.
