Black Panther becomes the fifth biggest opening weekend of all time!!!

One of the most anticipated solo MCU films of all time has met and exceeded its opening weekend box office numbers !!! Black Panther is estimated to make $192M  (domestically) over the 3 day weekend & projected to make $218M (Domestically) over the 4 day Presidents Day weekend according to Box Office Mojo. Black Panther captured the biggest debut for a February film and has become the 5th biggest opening weekend (Domestically) of all time and the 2nd biggest for a comic book movie. The film has already made $169M overseas brining the estimated worldwide total to $361M over the 3 day weekend.

Deadpool recently held the record for largest Presidents Day Weekend making $152M, The film is directed by the very talented Ryan Coogler who also directed "Fruitvale Station" and "Creed". Chadwick Boseman stars as T’Challa (Black Panther) King of the african nation of Wakanda, The most technologically advanced civilization in the world. Michael B. Jordan stars opposite of Boseman as the film's antagonist Erik Killmonger who wants to challenge T'Challa for the throne.
