Nintendo has finally announced when their online Nintendo Switch Online services will be activated.
With the obscure September launch window, Nintendo also announced that Super Mario Bros 3 will be made available as part of 20 Classic NES games as part of the new service to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. The screengrab used by Nintendo to announce Super Mario Bros. 3 also shows another player icon in the top left corner signaling that there will be some form of multiplayer aspect to the game via the online services. Other online functions will include voice chat via the iOS and Android app, cloud saves and other services.
The yearly cost for Nintendo Switch Online is set at $20 with other payment options of $3.99 per month, $7.99 per 3 months and a family option of $34.99 a year with the ability to have up to seven accounts on that plan.
