Infinity War Continues To Smash Box Office Records

Avengers: Infinity War has tackled yet another feat of film history, becoming the 5th highest grossing film of all-time, with a current box office total of $1.6B worldwide! It has also crossed the marker of being the highest grossing comic book movie of all-time. 

Infinity War topped the domestic box office for the third straight weekend making an additional $61.8M. The film also captured the 2nd biggest opening weekend in China’s history making $200M, it also became the first super hero film to cross the billion dollar mark internationally, and became the eighth largest domestic release in history. 

Disney/Marvel Studios now holds the 2 most profitable comic book films of all-time with ‘Marvels: The Avengers’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ The film had a massive opening weekend scoring $258M, marking the film with the largest opening weekend in history at the domestic box office.   

Infinity War is on track to cross the $2B mark and become the 4th film in history to do so, joining ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens,’ ($2,068,223,634) ‘Titanic,’ ($2,187,463,944) and ‘Avatar’ (2,787,965,087).
