Netflix has revealed the first official synopsis and premiere date for their upcoming series “Turn Up Charlie” starring Idris Elba.

Elba co-created the series with Gary Reich and are both serving as executive producers alongside Tristram Shapeero, who is directing the series with Matt Lipsey. The series will star Elba, Piper Perabo, Angela Griffin, Guz Khan, Jocelyn Jee Esein, Jade Anouka, Cameron King, Dustin Demri-Burns and JJ Feild.

I’ve been a huge fan of Idris for a long time, My favorite TV Show is and I’ll watch anything that he’s attached to.

“Turn Up Charlie” premieres Friday, March 15th on Netflix.

[Turn Up Charlie centers on the titular Charlie (Idris Elba), a struggling DJ and eternal bachelor, who is given a final chance at success when he reluctantly becomes a ‘manny’ to his famous best friend’s problem-child daughter, Gabby (Frankie Hervey). Piper Perabo and JJ Feild co-star. Elba and Gary Reich co-created Turn Up Charlie and will serve as executive producers along with Tristram Shapeero. Shapeero will also direct the series with Matt Lipsey. Martin Joyce and Ana Garanito are co-executive producers.
