In the 38th Issue of Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan it was revealed that Hideaki Sorachi's "Gintama" manga will end its series with five more chapters and its final chapter will be published in the magazine's 42nd issue that will be released on September 15th.

Gintama has been an ongoing series in the magazine for the past 15 years after it debuted in the magazine's 2nd issue back in 2004. The manga has sold over 55 million copies.
